SIX Hours plus daily murderous rampage

Made it past SIX hours of sleep, in spite of late evening fish taco and earlier tuna subway.   Woke up kind of lethargic and a famous RantWoman mocha (powdered milk, instant coffee, cocoa mix) tasted really good but did not help the feeling in the body. Trying to summon energy for the great purge and cupboard unloading in preparation for bug treatment. There is also the matter of the daily murderous rampage against creatures who have not offered to pay rent.   At the house all day so definitely not enough exercise.

Wednesday wakefulness not necessarily wokeness

Early supper and then nothing all evening! Good to be home. Went to bed about 1. Woke up first time before 5. Ugh. Radio on. Trevor Noah book might have been more relaxing but clouds of anxiousness. Not enough to try to get up a DO something. Hungry. Did I say anxious? Ate breakfast and went back to bed somewhere before 6. Woke up about 7:45. So tolerably over my 5.5 hours goal but needed to get up for rest of day.   Someone came by to help strategize to prepare for bug treatment. Strategy helps.

Tuesday catchup

Last night I went to bed before 1 and woke up after 7:30. Over 6 hours! Woot!   Came home too full from meeting and meetup. Need better food strategies…   This morning I made oatmeal and had to wash dishes so wound up missing morning shower   Did not get stretches done either but a decent though not optimal amount of walking.   Sunday I cannot remember but and Saturday neither. Holding steady at least 5 hours, closer to 5.5 which is Whole Life Challenge goal for this round.

weds thurs fri 5-6ish hours

Holding steady at over 5 hours of sleep, most days close to 6.   Also have to NOT eat after supper.   Doing Whole Life challenge is getting in the way of daily reporting.   I found a team. I also look more at the world chatter than last round. Somehow reassuring that other people struggle with some of same things I do.   The no screen for a whole hour thing last week was more than I could really do most days. Working on gratitude FOR people. Give me credit for reading a poem or saying a prayer or listening to some music though all for well-being.   Today was an event at Microsoft. Lots of salt in food. Lots of carbs of course. No one makes me eat the cookies or sandwiches. Being a grownup is overrated.   Social contact is usually good for sleep but today no stretching in the morning and not enough exercise either. Whine.   Also not enough exercise today.   But the event was COOL and I tweeted a lot FWIW.

Almost 6 hours. Is ibuprofen cheating?

RantWoman did not make it to bed until after 2 am. RantWoman woke up the first time about 5:45. RantWoman fed the Queen of Spades and thought of going back to bed. Breakfast and an ibuprofen and then going back to bed wound up being a better idea. Back to bed about 7:15 and awake about 9:30   So about 5.75 hours total. Lucky schedule was open in the morning.   Plenty of paperwork and such not gotten to.   Rainy all afternoon and will try to work in some breezeway walk time.   January rains are the worst, well except for all the places getting snow and FROZEN Niagara falls.   Found a team for Whole Life Challenge. Also read the world’s little journals. I do not feel so bad that I still have not fully interacted with the food list and my exercise intentions are pathetic.   Note to self: Exercise with Andy #42: RantWoman would appreciate the suggestions more if Andy could talk in more specifics about the squats and whatever the butterfly legs thing is.

Honoring Dr. King. Does it count as Woke just because there is no nap involved?

Had pressure check smack in middle of the day. So no MLK march. Sigh. Pray on the bus. Wade into Twitter. Eat at new Mexican place in old ‘hood. Think about gentrification and contrast upscale ambiance with MESS on border. Then enjoy REALLY good food in exactly appropriate modes portion size.   Asked to join a WLC team with someone in Seattle. She did not object. So far conversation is about water.   Somehow first day of scores did not get recorded. Cope.   Somewhere just over 5 hours of sleep.   Thought of going back to bed but did not. Sigh.   No rain so worked in a little walking but not enough.

Almost six hours

Got to almost 6 hours Friday night into Saturday.   Solid six hours Saturday night. Go to bed before going to sleep. Still a good mantra. Also DO NOT eat after dinner.   Memo to self: strategy for Whole Life Challenge?

Go screen free but use our app to track your progress

Sleep the final frontier. In bed about 1.   Sudoku anyone?   I am a grownup. I did not HAVE to start the second puzzle.   Up before 6.   5 ish hours and I cannot go back to bed both because of the impending floor stripping and waxing in my hall and because I have a meeting at 10 and have to allow travel time.   Also headache. Partly tension but breakfast and fluids helped a lot.   Surprisingly lethargic after getting used to more sleep.   Email from Whole Life Challenge. Suggesting an hour a day screen free. OK. So now I get to feel burdened because I did not get more audiobooks downloaded yesterdayand I really really do not want audiobooks on my screen devices. But at least I am journaling.   And by the way, RantWoman really should read the upgrade notes for Zoomtext. Really. RantWoman HATES the current version of Twitter. RantWoman HATES that Twitter no longer remembers hashtags one has searched on. RantWoman HATES the crap that is coming

Sleep plus inspections

It’s INSPECTION TIME chez RantWoman. There are several strands of inspections in the lives of RantWoman’s housing. This particular one is connected to funding so there are different pressures than when the focus is on resident issues.   For instance the tape notices to doors communications path brought news that rantWoman will want to leave early tomorrow because the corridors on her floor are due for stripping and waxing. RantWOman also dutifully resubmitted some long pending work orders to replace fluorescent tubes amnd tend to…   This inspection also means clear useful things off of balconies. Sigh. So much for drying the mop rantWoman used to adjust the floor grime topography outside and cutting risk of mold in the apartment. So much also for a lovely Christmas cactus still blooming. Mleah.   And on top of impending inspections, yesterday water from the sprinkling system got into the electrical system. Life was more eventful on floors below RantWoman but all f

Good Rule: go to bed before falling asleep

Interesting hashtags showing up in the #viadoom #seattleSqueeze #realign99 morning   commute   tweet stream including #sleep and #sleepgoals   Six PLUS hours last night. 12:30 to past 7.   Good rule: go to bed before falling asleep.   Further good rule: a couple hits of Trevor Noah with the phone already plugged in to charge not while still trying to get work done on computer big screen.

Six hours after salmon

Things not to do before bed. Salmon and chips. Tasty in that fried food way. RantWoman still felt full in the morning. Half of a fireball (the drink: RantWoman is very glad she let someone dump part of their drink into RantWoman’s cider glass and did not let the person buying everyone drinks buy her a full one.) Ice cream sandwich with chocolate chip cookies at 9 pm. RantWoman did make it to past 6 hours of sleep but this was by going back to bed   for an hour at 10 am. Too much fun.

Psychic workd is exhausting

All that psychic work is exhausting.     11:30 to 3.   Breakfast. 5 or so to 7:30   SIX Hours   I needed it. Now, if I went to bed that early all the time...

Sleep, steel cut

Sleep?   What’s that?   In bed almost 4. Awake like 7:30. YUCK.   Back to bed for an hour later.   In between made weekly porridge, this time steel cut oats, Cranberries, yellow raisins and the yogurt that had been in the fridge for awhile. 10 servings.  PS the Pepsi with supper at 5 pm probably did NOT help the sleep. It did taste good though. Yeah Memo's on the Ave.   Yum

Yeah Limes! SIX hours

Great COOL meeting Thursday something I can follow up on! Energized by meeting. Also went to Beacon Hill Red Apple. I LOVE that place. I bought limes and had lime water for fluids in the evening. YEAH LIMES!   In bed about 12:30. Awake before 4. But HALLELUJAH. Back to bed until after 7. Probably a little more than 6 hours total but a BIG improvement over recent nights.

Enough for writing clarity

Enough sleep for writing clarity, but Sleep? What’s that? In bed around 1. Awake before 5. Grabbed a couple more spells trying to sleep. About an hour total. Not enough.

STOP spinning wheels

RantWoman STOP spinning your wheels. Two nights in a row of less than 4 hours of sleep is a bad idea.   GO TO BED. Reread some more of the Abby Kelly Foster book. Abolition? Suffrage? Both? For whom?

Better than last night at least

One until almost 6. At least better than 3.5 hours.   TOO wired in ways that impede sleep but do not produce anything productive. Ugh.

Not linear thought just Los Peces En El Río - Angela Aguilar Ft. Pepe Aguilar - Nueva Tradicion

RantWoman, besides the latte at 4 pm and the extra pizza at like 10, do not forget the latest Care and Accountability Committee episode of gaslighting and BS, you had 3.5 HOURS of sleep last night. If all you can do is sob, do NOT even TRY to write linear thought. Anyway one more nip at the earworm of the season just in time for orthodox Christmas

God only knows why this sleep chronicle need Genghis Baribie

Saturday morning: something around 5 hours of sleep. Did not record times to bed and up.   Sunday morning. To bed around 1:30 and up after 7. Solid 5.5 hours. Breakfast and not back to bed. But ARE was worthwile.

Woke Friday

What to say? In bed about 12:30. Awake one in middle of night. Turned talking book back on and fell back asleep. So much for the content.     Awoke the second time before 5. More sleep would be a good idea. So would have been more exercise. Also had powdered milk mocha mid afternoon.   After I got up, I finished the bean pot of the week and did a bunch of tweeting for #WorldBrailleDay. Also fussed a little with my new NY Times Crossword puzzle app.   Besides hard puzzle, a few features hard to deal with and #a11y would suggest some tweaks.

Hydrate sleep

Salty meal mid afternoon for belated holiday party.   Yeah coleslaw but was definitely feeling swollen feet by evening. Is that also a shoe issue?   Late supper after worship. Also thirsty. Thank you fast food place for just letteing me fill water bottle with ice and more than once. Did I mention I hate the soda tax but I need to avoid caffeine and sugar especially at night anyway.   White bean chili and sweet potato (tater tots). Saved the crustos.   In bed 12:30. Awake before 6. 5.5 hours PLUS another 1.5 hours after breakfast. Respectable.   Still a sense of needing more exercise but absolutely NO motivation to scrub floor or finish the bean pot of the week. Be calm. Work on other things simmering in email, not on the stove.

Must maintain sleep

Pretty light supper after party. No evening tea.   Warm glow from party where besides good conversation and fabulous vegan food, I met someone who knew Billings things AND someone who helped me find my maternal grandfather on familysearch.com Way to party.   In bed before 2. Woke up about 8. Solid SIX hours.

Welcome 2019

Awake until FOUR. Slept past 8:30.   Ate breakfast.   Liking my wheatberry and cranberry and yogurt porridge.   Went back to bed for 2 hours. So close to 6 hours total but slept half the sunlight away AND did not get my floor mopped.   Mean to write a review of Whole Life Challenge.
