An exchange of egg cartons for a pink hat

I have a friend who happily moves egg cartons on in the universe, presumably to food banks.

Friend would drink tea if I had energy for tea drinking but I only had energy to listen to the next chapters of HEROIC and unrelenting struggle to line up all the therapies needed to TRY to right a bunch of interconnected body issues. Therapies include glasses, multiple kinds of vision and other exercises, and I forget what all else. It takes GUTS even to slog through and persist with all the doctor issues. I ask her about payment because I think her insurance SHOULD pay for at least some of the services, but I probably cannot fix the thicket of referral issues regardless.

In any case, friend has been wanting to bring over a hat to try on and I had a pile of egg cartons.

And Voila! My mom has a new rain hat and I have a lot fewer egg cartons.

The hat really is pink.
I have no idea why
it looks orange here

5.5 hours of sleep, not counting falling asleep for an hour after compline.

And morning started slowly: window repair and compost.

Window repair: new glazier on staff. MONTHS old work order from when it was cold and windows wouldn't close. New person answered lots of questions so now I have some ideas in case the problem recurs.

Taking compost out is such a drag right now. I am half tempted to buy one of those home composters I see advertised and then dump the compost in one of the way undertended planters on the patio.

Happy Monday.
