But this piece is wonderfully calming.


4.0 hours of sleep in bed plus another hour of nodding off.

Not enough of course but going back to bed is SO not obvious.

Let's see what email I can plow through now that I THINK I have done my daily quota of Twitter /x and persuaded the computer microphone that it should not try to interact with my talking phone and my talking phone has reminded me that it is silly to tangle one's life up in one device.

There is a Chekhov short story called Sleepy, Спать хочется where the main character spends most of the story fighting sleep and the things that keep her from sleeping. In the novel "Oblomov" by Nikolai Goncharov, it takes the main character 50 pages to decide to get out of bed. RantWoman falls somewhere between these two poles. This blog is dedicated to sleep, particularly RantWoman and sleep. RantWoman needs to sleep more than she does. RantWoman does not always manage to do things that probably would help her sleep more.
