Almost 6 hours of sleep.


Not as much end of yeary cleanup as I hoped.


Too busy attempting social obligations and thinking about how to weave threads of the earworm of the week into modern reflections and being grateful for yesterday's procrastination party.


Here is another earworm iteration, though the internet also abounds with flash mobs and Zumba classes and performaces than hack off a crucial last bit.

Sleep the final frontier. In bed about 1.   Sudoku anyone?   I am a grownup. I did not HAVE to start the second puzzle.   Up before 6.   5 ish hours and I cannot go back to bed both because of the impending floor stripping and waxing in my hall and because I have a meeting at 10 and have to allow travel time.   Also headache. There is a Chekhov short story called Sleepy, Спать хочется where the main character spends most of the story fighting sleep and the things that keep her from sleeping. In the novel "Oblomov" by Nikolai Goncharov, it takes the main character 50 pages to decide to get out of bed. RantWoman falls somewhere between these two poles. This blog is dedicated to sleep, particularly RantWoman and sleep. RantWoman needs to sleep more than she does. RantWoman does not always manage to do things that probably would help her sleep more.
