Neighbor needed to tell me her dramas when I wanted to go to bed. Crap. Crap. Crap. Al anon! Making sure grandson grows up respecting women not treating them like grandma's druggy boyfriend treats her. And monitor BS and call cops when.. but at least now I have a name for boyfriend and will especially pay attention to how the boy is doing. Crap. Crap. Crap!


And hard to sleep when it's already 73 at 5:30 in the morning and there is Stuff To Do before things get any hotter.


Really wonderful FGC workshop today on 200years of Quakers in China.  Rest of week is Zoom banquet on east coast schedule so I get to feel jet-lagged without even going anywhere. But at least it's an excuse to hide in the AC at the computer lab.


It was 102 yesterday at Seatac and 73 when I woke up at 5:30 Ice pack in canvas bag for cat to sleep on or near seems to matter.

Holy Cow. Almost 9 hours of sleep. The extravagant luxury of going back to bed and not even trying to do anything after 5.9 hours of sleep. Going to bed at a reasonable hour because of not wanting to compute in the computer lab with no AC helped.  I decided I needed to get up and eat a real breakfast after a dream involving my certainty that I needed to take a shower in a tiny restroom near a big event of some kind and then enjoying a lot of food that I found tasty and it was not clear whether others realized it was available. I probably can go all kinds of places with that. Computer lab has AC. Room where digital equity team works does not. There is some kind of switching mystery that not even one of the very wise SHA HVAC experts can solve. Nice to see the computer lab space in use. And for exercise I will ride under desk bike to nowhere for awhile at an hour too late to be a good idea. Also I MUST scrub floor and wrangle refrigerator life forms. About six hours of sleep. I should have gone back to bed. CPAP is a little bit of a workout but I think that will settle down. Mom's tree after all the presents were unwrapped Christmas with the fam went brilliantly.  First there was a chauffeur schedule that left me time to talk to Mom about latest non-locating of my brother while nephew fetched his parents. We did snack food and did not even attempt anything complex in Mom's "one-butt kitchen" Little Sister brought Little Smokies, one pan in a sauce I did not expect to tolerate made of commercial BBQ sauce and grape jelly. Little sister brought rolls and fruit salad. I brought crackers, cream cheese, beet chips and celery the latter of which I think I was the only one eating. So the rest of the bunch gets sauted and frozen for soup.  I brought yams to microwave if anyone wanted but kitchen logistics clobbered that.
