I think 7 hours in two stints.


Look usually I buy roasted unsalted so salted and roasted in peanut oil is kind of luxurious
Christmas present from sister
a giant container of mixed nuts, no peanuts

Don't blame the late night chocolates or the nuts nibbled even later.


Don't even blame mere mention of very crunchy snooze inducing reading called The Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, MUTCD. Conference call got the executive summary of a related draft plan. Sounds like I don't need to read the whole thing, just help blind people around the state figure out whether it says anything useful about standards for installing accessible ped signals. And we definitely did not get to beg buttons. High excitement lifestyle.


Wading through internet insurrection bilge takes a lot of energy. Or something.


Today I made a spicy brown rice, black bean, butternut squash etc stew. Four servings will be lovely.


The cat also thought my whole role in life needs to be warm cat furniture. Usually she sleeps a good chunk of the day on the couch or on my pillow on the bed but today it was all about sleeping on me.

Holy Cow. Almost 9 hours of sleep. The extravagant luxury of going back to bed and not even trying to do anything after 5.9 hours of sleep. Going to bed at a reasonable hour because of not wanting to compute in the computer lab with no AC helped.  I decided I needed to get up and eat a real breakfast after a dream involving my certainty that I needed to take a shower in a tiny restroom near a big event of some kind and then enjoying a lot of food that I found tasty and it was not clear whether others realized it was available. I probably can go all kinds of places with that. Computer lab has AC. Room where digital equity team works does not. There is some kind of switching mystery that not even one of the very wise SHA HVAC experts can solve. Nice to see the computer lab space in use. And for exercise I will ride under desk bike to nowhere for awhile at an hour too late to be a good idea. Also I MUST scrub floor and wrangle refrigerator life forms. Virtual church x 3

About six hours of sleep. I should have gone back to bed. CPAP is a little bit of a workout but I think that will settle down. Mom's tree after all the presents were unwrapped Christmas with the fam went brilliantly.  First there was a chauffeur schedule that left me time to talk to Mom about latest non-locating of my brother while nephew fetched his parents. We did snack food and did not even attempt anything complex in Mom's "one-butt kitchen" Little Sister brought Little Smokies, one pan in a sauce I did not expect to tolerate made of commercial BBQ sauce and grape jelly. Little sister brought rolls and fruit salad. I brought crackers, cream cheese, beet chips and celery the latter of which I think I was the only one eating. So the rest of the bunch gets sauted and frozen for soup.  I brought yams to microwave if anyone wanted but kitchen logistics clobbered that.
