Laundry, holiday lights

5 + 2 hours of sleep. SEVEN total.

Alas, that meant getting up at 10, but at least there was time to chat with my sister about holiday shopping.

Enough DDT and finishing the crossword puzzle BEFORE starting laundry. 4 loads and enough quarters. I hung what needed to be hung and folded some and just dumped the underwear into a basket. Then I went home, dumped the basket of underwear where it goes and fell into bed saving the rest of the putting away until morning.

Chairs? Who needs chairs? Chairs would just make it easier for people to skip social distancing.
There really are Christmas Lights
in this picture. Can you Find them?
They look cooler in the dark

I had the laundry room to myself except for the person whose clothes were in one washing machine when I came in. The owner came in as I was leaving. She was all about end times as in the bible. I suggested prayer. That seemed to resonate.

I have just been eating instant oatmeal for a few days. Oatmeal makes me so happy but the end of the last batch of homemade is headed for compost along with a bunch of other stuff.

This morning's main achievements:

--clean out the dish towel drawer before putting away the clean dish towels. I had no idea how many crumbs had accumulated. The tricky part of the process: getting the drawer back on the rollers correctly.

--make awesome use what's on hand pandemic stew. Today it was the last of the turkey broth, some andouille sausages, onion, bell and jalapeno peppers, garlic, rice, black beans, and a small can of spicy hot V8 juice. Shhh. Don't tell anyone: much better than going to Taco Time

--Wash hands BEFORE washing glasses and doing afternoon eye drops. Smelly industrial hand soap in the computer lab building but I had been handling the hot peppers....
