Laundry! Not all of it but definitely enough for awhile, And....
Somewhere over 5 hours of sleep if one counts falling asleep while John Oliver enumerates all the numerical reasons people in the US are basically screwed as far as full representation. Four + hours actually in bed and then up in time to travel to appointment but not to take a shower or go back to bed.
Random moments:
Laundry room was busier than usual though I tend not to go there on weeknights anyway. Lots of people wanting to do laundry, a couple of them kind of sketchy. One of them making me edgy in same ways as my brother: smelling of beer, fussing with computer and has to dig for quarters to dry his backpack. Standing too close when there was plenty of space on the other end of the counter. I can't remember whether he was wearing a mask. I was and with glasses and a hat I felt okay. Plus i had already started laundry and was not going to leave it unattended. Sketchy guy told he he was headed out on some journey today. He also finally left the laundry room. But if I would say same things to my own brother, does it matter if sketchy is African American?
I will have to finish laundry tonight or maybe in the next couple days. Fun Fun fun.
I would not have stayed up so late if it were not for a BBC program about people who are dyslexic in one language, say english with its mongrel word origins and spelling standards that attempt to capture several sounds in one set of letters, and then Japanese or Chinese where the pictograms represent words or concepts.
I fell asleep but will be meditating about my mother and her dyslexia.
More random moments: first time I have ridden bus since Metro re-instituted fare collection. Fare collection feels so normal. Plus it's nice to have the straps separating the "Courrtesy area" from the rest of the bus.
