Sleeping or not to How Great Thou Art A Cappella
RantWoman seldom has trouble falling asleep, well except sometimes
around the full moon when RantWoman is tempted to explore her identity as a
werewolf. Mostly in fact RantWoman can fall asleep even before her body becomes
properly horizontal.
Should RantWoman have trouble falling asleep, videos and music often
help. In that spirit, an item served up in one of RantWoman’s media streams.
RantWoman is moved by the youth and diversity of this old great.
RantWoman is so moved by the music or by the gifts of music for helping
a body breathe in time, regardless of whether the body actually tries to sing,
especially that part about staying on pitch. RantWoman is so moved that she
seized a small burst of energy to try to collect sleep data before her body
falls over again.
RantWoman especially appreciates the interaction of music and
#breathing because this week’s Full Life challenge Well-being activity, focused
breathing exercises, is mainly reminding RantWoman why she needs to exercise more,
why she is vexed about nasal congestion, and why she does not want to think too
much about certain eye vexations. RantWoman’s next instinct is NOT to sit for
10 whole minutes but either to get up and move or to settle in for a round of
Sudoku to soothe free floating anxieties or just to stay still and breathe in
sync with the furry breathing monitor who likes to jump onto RantWoman’s chest.
RantWoman has been collecting bits of data in her Twitter feed about #nutrition
#exercise including #DressLikeATrafficCone and RantWoman’s thoughts about
marketing of gear related to the Whole Life Challenge on Twitter. This is
partly to capture chatter as it occurs to her, partly to avoid overwhelming
teammates who are not as obsessively entangled in technology as RantWoman is.
#nutrition is its whole separate topic, nutrition based on event food,
nutrition and late-evening carbs binges, fiber, whole grains, cottage cheese
instead of icecream, orange and green food. One of these days RantWoman WILL
read the food rules. Really. Technical difficulties.
RantWoman is doing pretty well about limiting caffeine in the evening.
Lime water and low-sodium V8 are making RantWoman very happy , so happy RantWoman
does not want to read the food rules to
decide whether they are legal.
Sleep log:
Monday night almost 5.5 hours in bed plus at least another hour dozing
in chair.
Sunday 5 hours of sleep. Chili for breakfast to help deal with congestion.
Chili powder from a friend’s trip to NM. Plus another round of boy am I a good
cook. Plenty of exercise and social connections.
Saturday night
Oh Hell. Use hashtag #wholelifechallenge and some more sleep times
should turn up. One night I barely hit 4 hours but grabbed a nap in the
afternoon.
