Rain!

5+ hours of sleep plus more drowsing in chair.

9:30 phone call worked.

Lobby bulletin boards got created without my help. I hope the hang out time made some connections for others.

I made it to the  transit-oriented development walk around the Judkins Park station. I was afraid if I wore my raincoat I would scare the rain away. Luckily it was already raining when it was time to leave.

I feel old. I also want to scream at the bright young transit planners to try not to make people pay obeisance to the car gods and by the way magnetic grandkids mean... plus maybe enthusiastic childcare.

Instead I bailed early, wanted to go to the bread store that USED TO BE on Jackson. Okay, I haven't been by in years and there is a TON of new housing and the EB bus stop at 12th and Jackson got moved to the other side of 12th. And I have a hip that hurts and I decided I can just COPE with bread prices elsewhere. Maybe Grocery Outlet.

Update: the bread store still exists. Thank you Googleator. It's in Sodo not too far S of the light rail on 6th Ave S.

Transit updates on my phone area mixed blessing: fatal car vs ped hit and run on Rainier; bus 7 has resumed normal operations.

First world Problems.

And the rain! The Rain. Breathing is SUCH a good thing.
