What sleep will do for you: snark, sarcasm, shower-borne clarity

Did I actually get to almost 8 hours of sleep counting going back to bed for 2 hours after I fed the cat?

Exercise with bicycle gizmoe definitely helps about sleep but it also reminds me of tensions and body aches. Keep at it anyway

Sarcasm round 1: Darn, a certain blindness advocacy organization is not going to be out helping spread COVID while doing outreach staffing a booth at the Puyallup fair.

Oh Wait. Holy Crap. Some members will go anyway so pen an email saying if you must go BE SAFE. Try to keep head from exploding about antivax obliviousness.

Snark gets to linger under the surface while talking of Zoom role titles among Quakers. Yesterday's hit was "Clerk of Zoom."  For one event, I just renamed myself Zoom cheerleader

Several strands of shower-borne clarity. For example

--Start with " Well, I KNOW you would prefer cleanly focused email and I actually would prefer to be able to deliver cleanly focused email, but SOMETIMES one is called to bear witness to the fact that there are many different good reasons people CANNOT always deliver cleanly focused email. And then one gets to say THANK YOU for living with bumps on the path to better focus.

--Oh, shit. I am SUPPOSED to chatter in several different fora about Zoom and techno geek stuff. Ditto Zoom and meeting management. Ditto other topics gushing to mind in this season.

on Orcas Island

And the picture, since my life is again overflowing with traumatizing motifs: my two friends dealing with hostile vehicle encounter in December while crossing the street near their home are taking a MUCH needed vacation on Orcas. Probably the reason one was conscious all the way to Harborview and never in ICU is because the collision killed their wonderful German shepherd.

There are bad traffic engineering issues near their house. Shortly after the accident when the one was out of the hospital. I called them and they had just heard another collision, the third in a week at the same intersection where they got hit. Both of them were climbing the walls. I haven't asked since then but I have the impression they found the right lawyer and the city of lynwood realized they have a problem.

And I sort of want to ask about known traffic engineering issues for a similar event a few years ago in Shoreline. Sort of but not really.

Restaurant on Orcas is closed because of worker shortage but they went well-provisioned with garden produce Amd semd this wonderful peaceul photo.
