Just lie in bed and be warm?

Almost 6 hours of sleep in bed.

Plus another half hour or so drowsing in the chair after laundry before bed.

It was so pleasant just to lie in bed and be warm. I could have done that longer, but the cat was hungry and so actually was I. More sleep after breakfast would not have been terrible but the day impinged.

Laundry last night was less "you think the UN has intercultural problems, ya oughta try LAUNDRY" and more just crip fights simmering below the surface. My next door neighbor uses a wheelchair. He also has progressive vision and hearing limitations. And he does his own laundry. That is admirable except for his obstinate practice of parking his wheelchair and laundry basket  to block not only access to the machine he is trying to use but also to a couple other machines in the area. And then he can't or won't hear when asked to move. I got 4 loads washed and dried in the top level dryers in spite of the potential mobility issues demolition derby. And extra credit for attempting the no mask glower while wearing one's own mask and having one's own trouble hearing. Let there be peace on earth and let it begin in the laundry.

A friend called yesterday needing to grieve the cat she just had to put to sleep. I never met the cat but somehow we got into a snarky conversation: what if all the pets one is supposed to be reunited with in an afterlife just don't get along. I apologized a couple times for being snarky. My friend is not the only person in my life who says "Well, that's why I call you."

Today is larn mowing day and some kind of tree-trimming. This brings smell of cut grass and loud chainsawing. And Onward!
