Basically six hours of sleep, 4.5 + 2 give or take. 


I needed to be up north by 10. 3 buses. A stop on way to second bus at the 4th avenue Bartell's. I scored a chorizo and egg english muffin which would have been more delectable if there had still been a microwave to warm it. Ahhh the #pandemic.


Really a drag to see all the boarded up windows downtown.

Despite stop still a  little early for eye dr appointment. Chairs in waiting room are spread out for social distancing. Word of the day plus the usual parameters and dilation is "strabismus," double vision. I have had it basically my whole life or at least since scar tissue got removed from my right eye when I was about 8. That happened one summer while we were in Missoula before we went back to CO. I think better local ophtho was one reason we later moved to the "big city" of Billings. 


I think I figured the double vision out during church while in Jr. High. I never explained to parents and therefore nothing ever got tried to correct. But I have the option of consulting the strabismus dr if things get worse. Today the dr did a simple test with a big letter on the eye chart and moving something back and forth in front of my eyes. He said wow, yes a lot of strabismus but brain has probably long adjusted in a way where it might be unhelpful to try to fix anything for example with a prism in my glasses. I agree and I am glad to have sense of scale today while I figure out why the problem seems worse.

On the way home I scored a roll of laundry quarters while also buying lemons and cat food. Excitement!

Holy Cow. Almost 9 hours of sleep. The extravagant luxury of going back to bed and not even trying to do anything after 5.9 hours of sleep. Going to bed at a reasonable hour because of not wanting to compute in the computer lab with no AC helped.  I decided I needed to get up and eat a real breakfast after a dream involving my certainty that I needed to take a shower in a tiny restroom near a big event of some kind and then enjoying a lot of food that I found tasty and it was not clear whether others realized it was available. I probably can go all kinds of places with that. Computer lab has AC. Room where digital equity team works does not. There is some kind of switching mystery that not even one of the very wise SHA HVAC experts can solve. Nice to see the computer lab space in use. And for exercise I will ride under desk bike to nowhere for awhile at an hour too late to be a good idea. Also I MUST scrub floor and wrangle refrigerator life forms. Virtual church x 3

About six hours of sleep. I should have gone back to bed. CPAP is a little bit of a workout but I think that will settle down. Mom's tree after all the presents were unwrapped Christmas with the fam went brilliantly.  First there was a chauffeur schedule that left me time to talk to Mom about latest non-locating of my brother while nephew fetched his parents. We did snack food and did not even attempt anything complex in Mom's "one-butt kitchen" Little Sister brought Little Smokies, one pan in a sauce I did not expect to tolerate made of commercial BBQ sauce and grape jelly. Little sister brought rolls and fruit salad. I brought crackers, cream cheese, beet chips and celery the latter of which I think I was the only one eating. So the rest of the bunch gets sauted and frozen for soup.  I brought yams to microwave if anyone wanted but kitchen logistics clobbered that.
