Auditioning a New Earworm: John Mellencamp - Crumblin' Down

Negligible sleeping while it was dark. I will go to bed after 6. I will sleep until...

for a stunning total of about 3 hours total counting dozing early in the evening. Weird thing is I am not as bad a zombie as sometimes when I get this little sleep.

I also have not attempted anything super complicated: half listen to the governor's press conference, the WCB advocacy committee call where I growled at one member who was not getting my point: TALK TO YOUR LOCAL PARATRANSIT agency about people not wearing masks on paratransit. It is a freaking ADA issue and part of the POINT is how much one can or cannot ask.

Blame this level of sleep or not on too little exercise, mocha at 4:30 or something, and commercial tuna salad with pickles and celery even from the walgreen's trip and sunflower bites and dried pineapple late. Possibly also too much sleep yesterday and weird desire to enjoy my still-new clothes. I was going to walk all the way home but there is some kind of sidewalk closed issue S of Jackson on MLK. I did not want to figure out a walkaround as it was getting dark. And bus driver said he has been delivering me to my stop for 6 years. I am the one who told him what the stop is called because the street sign is not visible. So awkward because I think I should work harder at knowing regular drivers' names. These days I thank them all for being out driving and try not to think to hard about .transit future, covid.....

Bible study is reading Mark 8, one of the Jesus spits in the eye of the blind person and heals them moments. YUCK! DO NOT try this unless you are Jesus. I do not care if it is supposed to be something wonderful coming out of suffering. Just DO NOT TRY THIS. Another fabulous Grab the Blind Person and bless them moment. YUCK! Gross. Yes, I am still jazzed from Annual session but now what.

There would be the 1.5 hour Trevor Noah interview with the Guardian too. And also the podcast about epidemics from history. And wading into the weird world of Facebook. I realized I have not wandered there since my birthday and I should say thank you for people who probably left me greetings.

And do I REALLY need to watch the US Secretary of State sound totally clueless about weapons transfers from Russia to Turkey just because it says PBS Newshour? The Turks promptly tested their new radar on a US plane. I am sure there is something snarky to be said about this and I can tell why the national security establishment is probably alarmed. But welcome to another door into the international weapons trade.

Then fuss around figuring out page number navigation (should have done that years ago) and read the WCB newsletter because I heard someone I know was badly hurt in an accident. I think I have to read the winter edition or email directly since he is recovered enough to write something else int he issue I read. Guide to social presence as a blind person

And just for final bedtime grins, I stumbled across live video of my youngest cousin (who is like 45 or something) driving either a truck or an RV across NM with her dog in the passenger seat and presumably her husband behind her.

And meanwhile as I go home to sleep, try some John Cougar Mellencamp.
