Debrief WTO anniversary event?
Sleep: somewhere over 5 hours.
RantWoman was planning to get to an event by 10. Running into someone else going to the event was one reason RantWoman wound up being late. After washing hair and errand to drug store. RantWoman got there by 12 in time for tasty Banh mi for lunch.
RantWoman is unclear what all got done between getting home from Seattle WTO evtns anniversary celbration and bed. Lots of writing and blog entries, it seems. Also some guacamole on chips. Not so much debrief the 20th anniversary events: RantWoman went to exactly the right workshop, about data, and presence in countries, and why it matters to have thoughtful people INSIDE WTO proceedings. RantWoman still means to untangle several personal and political threads of remembering. Maybe.
RantWoman means to hold onto accessibility point from Friday party: movablecouches in shated lounges are a good thing, especially when the room is filled with people who use wheelchairs, walkers....
For WTO events at Town hall, mostly the remodel is COOL. RantWoman would never mind bathrooms for all body types, not just all genders. RantWoman guesses a family stall and one wheelchair accessible stall are a good start, but people also carry things, have seeing eye dogs... So RantWoman would have maybe cut the number of stalls by one on one side of the restroom and made at least two of the remianing ones a little bigger. RantWoman will spare the operations research class digression about estimating the number of stalls needed if the stalls are to be used by a combination of people who take differeing amounts of time on average to do waht people do in restrooms..
Other than that, blindness tourism alert, RantWoman did not pre-register and request electronic copies of anything. Sigh. Instead RantWoman did the Ask a human thing. That worked fine except RantWoman would now like to know the names of a couple people she heard speak. If that is the worst problem of RantWoman's day....
