Fighter planes bungee cords oh my

This sleep bloggery thing is a weird treadmill.   Hurry up and track sleep before it’s time to go back to bed.   Niight before last, 4+ hours in bed plus I think a couple dozing in chair. Definitely do not need thread the hair rasing end of Trevor Noah’s book again but I forgot to set the sleep time and so had the reader on half the night.   Last night I was exhausted. Trip to Museum of Flight plus 4 loads of laundry. Stowed laundry and then sat down in chair sometime before midnight. Woke up about 3 and went to bed. Decided not to turn on talking book partly because I was too wired thinking about what to put in blog post about trip to museum of flight: flight simulator, the MiG, The Blackbird. Tactile Space Needles + sleep

Sleep In bed. While it's dark. How to blow off   stress? Make Tactile Space needles. Read other blogs for logic, backstory. The point is RantWoman decided it’s tourist season and someone will certainly need tactile space needles, never mind that RantWoman had to refer a more serious tactile mapping question from one government entity to a different entity which, RantWoman knows, knows how to make tactile maps.     Sleep, the update. I HATE waking up at 4. That is partly the reward for going to bed before midnight.   Partly. I would still wake up after about 4 hours due to sinuses and other things no matter what time I go to bed.   This morning I needed to leave by 10 but I still ate breakfast (love ya, pancakes from the other morning and gluten free mix to make more.) Then I was able to go back to bed and managed almost 6 hours total.   Need to figure out some more about sleep blood pressure med exercise.

Merry Monday

Sleep   In bed   While it’s dark.   Helps not to eat late at night. One night with food second night without is much better.   Email at 3 am just means someone is out of town probably on the east coast.   Yesterday breakfast at 4 still meant hungry at 9:15. Thank you chorizo and egg at Starbucks.   Last night Oops. Forgot to charge the talking book reader. Luckily fell asleep before getting up to turn on radio.   Sometimes middle of the night radio wakeup is COOL. Sometimes not so much and radio all night = less than restful sleep.   Today wide awake at 4 am with 4.5 hours of sleep.   Breakfast. Morning texts with mom and sister. TALK to sister for like ½ hour and then go back to bed for over an hour.   PARTY.

Just past the solstice

Sleep   While it’s dark?   Maybe don’t start boiling the small pork roast at 10 pm. The sound of the pot boiling over woke RantWoman up, but RantWoman still had to put things away before going to bed. And it was a Grocery outlet cut so it could have stood something more to tenderize though by today, the cooling in hot bath seems to have cooked things a little further.   The part about in bed, um, get teeth brushed before settling into chair at least.   Once RantWoman makes it to bed, with CPAP and everything, RantWoman is still rereading the Trevor Noah book. Good lord there are many violent and upsetting moments but part of the story seems to be Trevor and his mother coming through in remarkably good psychic shape.   Last night was a couple hours in chair, bed and then the realization when RantWoman woke up before 5 that she scored just 3+ hours in bed. Still, make   3 days worth of pancakes with new gluten free mix. Eat pancakes...

Walk etc

Sleep In bed While it is dark. Get exercise even if the meeting plus conference call schedule puts one on the Ave a little late but definitely not too late for the one-bus home 15-minute headway window. Grump about new pedestrian crosswalk situation another time. The walking plus previously learned deviations from medication compliance also seem to be helping about a medical issue RantWoman has had before. RantWoman WILL tell her primary care dr about the topic next time there is a visit, but RantWoman is happy for now just doing what has previously worked. Cat does not care about the sleep in bed part.   She is happy to climb up and purr all over RantWoman’s shoulder so RantWoman   falls asleep. That also means RantWoman is holding it together well enough that she does not go all bite and scratch on the situation, FWIW. RantWoman has been sleeping a couple hours immobilized in chair and then doing go to bed things like clean teeth and eye drops and then ...

ELEVEN hours?

Sleep   In Bed   While it’s dark   Except when one decides to get crazy and sleep for something like 11 hours. Apparently RantWoman really needed to sleep.   RantWoman also realized there is a pharmaceutical reason she needed to look up symptoms for something. RantWoman does not like what she found.

Sleep   In bed   While it’s dark.   Apparently, chicken bean cheese chili burrito does not impede sleep though the adrenalin experience of the new crosswalks and traffic signal to get to 7-11 in the dark might.   RantWoman probably will not be attempting that journey very often. Pity—NOT!   Holding steady at 5 hours plus or minus and nothing this morning impeding sleep on the go back to bed cycle.   More Exercise would never hurt.    

Make oatmeal. Get more exercise

Sleep?   While it’s dark.   In bed. Go back to bed because there is time after breakfast.   Who are we kidding?   Somewhere almost 5 hours but the two in the chair do not count in CPAP land.   RantWoman did make oatmeal and cook rice last night expecting a hot day.   Sleep while it’s dark….Lather rinse repeat.

Sleep while it is dark?

RantWoman needs more exercise. That would be one conclusion from what finally kept RantWoman awake this morning. RantWoman did achieve somewhere towards 6 hours of sleep, in 3 spurts. RantWoman went to bed early as in there was still light in the west. RantWoman was holding up atypically well based on caffeine but was still basically an early zombie because of short night night before last. Cat who gets fed at 4 am thinks another round of breakfast is due.   So much for sleep while it’s dark. Night before last RantWOman achieved somewhere not quite 4 hours of sleep. RantWoman achieved this while going to bed when the sky was already getting light. RantWoman finds the season exhilarating. RantWoman still needs to sleep.

Sleep in spite of Jenga

Somewhere close to 5 hours of sleep total because I did go back to bed for close to an hour. What was I doing awake late anyway?   Trevor Noah videos! Oh, and trying not to think about the White House Occupant playing Jenga both with his tariffs for Mexico and with the telecomm stuff with Huawei. Jenga because sure of course we need another trade war, economies are intertwined, and tariffs will be SO helpful in providing Mexico ways to fund what Orange … wants. Interesting to hear of Google’s role about Huawei: the internet is very interconnected and the LAST thing anyone except maybe Orange Foolius is millions of devices not able to get security updates or having to have someone recraft their own stream.   There. End of tirade. RantWoman did manage to sleep in spite of…

World of peacecraft and summer sleep

RantWoman do not touch the keyboard. You only THINK the email wants attention. GO TO BED. Yeah, it is early by your standards but it IS dark and if your summer sleep goal is sleep while it’s dark…   For RantWoman’s trouble, RantWoman   --got half wakened by the strobe and then the sound of the fire alarm but fell back asleep before the alarm activation announcements ended.   --slept almost 5 hours in one stretch and another almost 2 after breakfast at 4 am.   Pretend the morning light is some exotic vacation but there WAS new light various ways about email. Sleeplessness excused?

Not doing so well about either regular posts or sleep totals. Holding steady at slightly more than 4 sometimes up past 5 hours but really sensitive to late night calories last night. Surprisingly wired after almond M&M’s.   Still in mental time warp about travelling around Europe this time of year 30 years ago, reading about TienanMien from the International Herald Tribune and later learning more from a friend who was dying of AIDS but almost till his dying breath about to rant about news announcers mispronouncing the place name. Who can sleep in the face of that?
