This is kind of standard gee-whiz human interest reporting, but it's just lovely to hear the family together. How the 7 Kanneh-Mason siblings became classical music sensations 4:54 hours of sleep. Anyway, I got the news enroute and decided to stop at an adorable Greenwood taqueria, the kind where a roll of paper towels is the napkin supply. Go to the register to order. Then walk back past the merchandise to the dining tables. A GREAT blessing. The other REALLY good news: today when my sister and nephew visited, Mom was sitting up in a wheelchair. She had eaten a lot of lunch! The fact that she had enough endurance to sit in a chair and to talk ALMOST normally is a HUGE step. One is not sure how to untangle management of certain clinical things. Charitably, buying time for medical measures to take hold so different kinds of OT and PT will have time to bea...

COLD so I had to get up and find the fuzzy slippers that don't fit right for walking around but were just GREAT in bed. Also rearranged the blankets this morning so the fuzzy one is between two cotton items not sliding around against the fleece bedspread. Welcome to sleep hygiene. Tonight it is cold and nothing is falling out of the sky so exercise, moving large muscles felt VERY good. Still trying to figure out my right leg.

I don't want to mess with anyone's holiday tradition, but this recipe sounds BORING. Any, an interesting peek into another family's life Our 40-YEAR Christmas Morning Recipe Tradition (You NEED This) 4 ish hours of sleep. CPAP quit in the middle of the night so guessing from clock. Before bed I had energy to take part of trash out AND wash dishes. Relaxing, but I saved th shower for daylight. Aromas from Korean lunch today somewhere between "don't mess with people's comfort food and  oh gee, who is taking out trash. Fun. Fun.

The most delicious lemon oat cake! No sugar, no flour—pure indulgence! CPAP machine says 2:56 hours of sleep. I think it was a little more but it was definitely also a from when to when issue. I made it up in time for a couple phone visits and hair washing before heading out to party. Party was lovely. Gorgeous day. Enough lively conversations. TASTY low sugar banana bread. LOVELY giant piece of salmon. Then off to see Moma at hospital. Bad news. She needs to be in hospital. Good news after first round with paramedics taking her to Overlake she is now at Capital Hill where it is MUCH easier to visit. Also entertaining to see how inpatient and outpatient observation are executed presumably under new Medicare cost cutting rules. Arrrrrgggggh!

I probably could have slept longer but at least I got to bed early enough for this to come easy AND still be well nourished before a 10:30 zoom Last night I was HUNGRY. Carbs, carbs, carbs. It was all the running around. Today I HOPE I am more measured. Not taking calcium but a couple times broken leg still hurt. So back to tylenol. I suspect some pains in knees, shoulders are biomechanical but I HATE well having to think about such things.

Quick & Easy Chocolate Cake - No eggs. No butter. One bowl. 6+ hours of sleep.  Some beef jerky after dinner and interrupted sleep. Best thing to eat when I wake up too early but have time to go back to bed: banana. Much better idea than prunes plus baked potato plus buttermilk. So I woke up all achy AND had to hurry to make an 11:00 meeting. Well exercised today. I SHOULD sleep well tonight.

The grated pumpkin sounds INTERESTING. Also, I am THROUGH with pumpkin cake / bread / muffin recipes that do not include raisins or dates and nuts. NUTS to that. The Easiest PUMPKIN CAKE RECIPE using Freshly Grated Pumpkin 4:30 hours of sleep Up in time to be dressed by birthday trip ride's ETA which meant I should have combed hair or something before actual arrival. Oh Well Other thing I noted: I tried cutting back on the 2x / day calcium and LO, MORE cramps in right leg. Need some combination of supplements / pain relief and soemthing like tai chi to work out possible biomechanical aspects.  Birthday event turned out to be MELLOW. Nephew was well pleased.

What is it with all these people bailing on pumpkin pie in favor of Sweet potato pie? I like both. They are NOT interchangeable. I like the suggested spice mix, the point about processing to break up fibers--even though texture would be fine for me, and the trick about how to cook the crust even though I do not care that much about crust.
