Nice soothing pyroclastic flow video: Shibolich on Kamchatka

  What? The news timeline is not exhausting enough. How about another more unpredictable worry? 7:52 hours of sleep. This is called GO TO BED when one is too exhausted to do anything else and never mind whether there is Kyiv worship at 12:30 am. Do I have energy to clean my house? No, not yet, but I did have energy to have sister read some sympathy cards and to do multiple calls and emails.

Wildlife / ecosystem recovery stories are just good for the soul.  I got exactly 0 hours of sleep in bed and a few bits of nap. I am a grownup. I stayed up all night being a YouTube news junkie and also ducking some emotions. When I get too tired, the emotions don't throb as much. I just can barely think the next day. The other dawn delight though was just how mild the weather felt, in the high 50's already at 7 am. I WILL sleep tonight and may not even try for Wednesday worship in Kyiv.

 One of the things that intrigues me is the portability once it's baked 7:12 hours of sleep. I am SO glad I got a shower and shampoo before bed. Beautiful day but I did not get out. I did manage to do dishes.  Woohoo

  about 1:06 hours of sleep. Mom passed away 3 months ago today. I am not sure just giving in to grief and not trying to sleep more was optimal but I seem to have done okay though I did come home and crash after my morning gig at WCB leadership

 Speaking of artists one would not predict and in honor of the President and minions attempting to beef with Pope Leo 4:52 hours of sleep. Too many carbs too late at night but at least no leg cramps, just waves of grief/rage /grief.  Ain't parental loss grand? I am glad I actually slept instead of starting laundry at 4:30 am when I woke up the first time. Today was 3 trips to take out trash and recycling. Some kind of virtue along with assimilating various concepts relevant to other active themes.

Baked Rice

Because Recipes one might actually cook are SO necessary as a distraction from everything else in the timeline.  This recipe makes risotto style rice prep sound easy and satisfying.  In the can't / won't exactly follow the recipe camp, I might add a layer of spinach or chopped nuts or nuts roasted in a little garlic oil in the middle and less mozzarella. Maybe 4:?? hours of sleep. I think it was longer than that, but I woke up with the CPAP off.

 New chef with Sicilian flavor Note to self, toss the eggplant with oil and roast in the oven. Also olives? But I'm willing to try. 5:58 hours of sleep. Getting to bed early is everything even when I had to track down a lost yam from the oven. Don't ask. Random kitchen while blind moment with a burned out oven light bulb and an oven that REALLY needs to be cleaned. Adulting is SO MUCH FUN.

Interesting ideas: garnish with sliced banana or with cilantro and hard-boiled egg But I know one household that likes black beans with fried plantains so not too big a leap. 4:00 hours of sleep. Once again, I meant to get to bed earlier but I had to do last minute things like check about how to ripen a papaya and try to prep for a Zoom meeting this afternoon

 One of these days, I mean to get a pressure cooker. But this video is also fun for the spice, flavor combinations. About 5:00 hours of sleep. I definitely needed more and I also missed FCNL priorities setting on Zoom but oh well. Working on the right level of zen to be insightful but not drowned by floods in my newsfeeds.

Black bean soup finished with lime juice

 Any darn fool, or anyone with basic kitchen skills, can do most of this. The key insight is the lime juice at the end. One weird note: in college, I thought that boiling black beans just SMELLED REALLY WEIRD. NOw I barely notice. Curiously, no mention of fresh cilantro which, for people who like cilantro, would also be a lovely finish. 6.0 hours of blessed SLEEP. And apparently the various chair exercises and dishwashing were helpful for sleep even without more walking. I decided I had to go to bed when I started up writing about what I think of an Iranian attack on Israel's Dimona reactor and realized that I needed to let it percolate overnight if only so total inarticulate mush is not what comes off my fingers. And tonight I will try to brief and QUITE PROCRASTINATING about my resolutions presentation.

Oh heck. A nice cat vid amid all the world's CRAZINESS  Video best appreciated by people with fully working eyes, but hey, it's a birthday vid. There are other Larry the Cat videos with more descriptive audio 4+ hours of sleep even though the CPAP quit after not quite 3 hours. I got half of laundry done last night. I think I am glad I did not attempt more but this fatigue thing SUCKS. I am a grownup. No one just now made me watch 20 minutes of raw video drama aboard a bus route I ride fairly often. Surprising that no info has appeared in my usual warning streams.

    I do not remember  watching this whole video but it's in my preparing for possible collapse of.... mental space 5:16 hours of sleep. I have more words on my mind so I either go do laundry or get breathless typing and let the laundry ferment another day.  Isn't adulting fun?!?!

 I didn't even look up the translation of this chant but maybe some chant will be a good thing for the day as the world is on pins and needles about the latest threats from President #StableGenius 5:12 hours of sleep. The Amazon order, BOTH parts arrived close to the beginning of the window so I did not have to worry about ice cream melting all afternoon. Of course, if one decides that ice cream is a vital addition to lunch, that can be another way not to worry about it melting inappropriately. Bananas arrived unscathed but of course too ripe. Not one of my favorite covers, but I still need the earworm of the week.  5:12 hours of sleep. I am a grownup about staying up past when it would be reasonable to be in bed, but I did not have a fixed timeline today. Still vexing that I rarely seem to be able to crack 6 let alone 7 hours of sleep. BEAUTIFUL, sunny and WARM. So no excuse really for not getting out but I did not get out and I will write / procrastinate some more about all the things getting in the way. At least I cleaned up the stove baking soda mix.

The latest in my let's think about old ways of doing thing in case modern civilization collapses videos.  5:22 hours of sleep. Theoretically up early enough to make it to Mom's church but it did not happen so instead it was WAY too much amp with sister and entourage at her church. Followed by curry and a nap at home. Beautiful day but legs were not happy in dress shoes. I want to see whether I can build back up to pre pandemic enthusiasm for walking.

 Back to the earworm of the week 5:?? hours of sleep. By the clock and my body even though CPAP thinks only 3:?? hours of sleep Accomplishments for today. Hair wash Several things cooked. Something on the burner successfully extinguished without triggering building fire alarm. just open windows but do not open door. Any more flames would NOT have been fun but I dumped a box of baking soda on things. I am embarrassed and rattled so kitchen cleanup has to go higher on the priority list. Body holding up pretty well.  Happy Easter world

 Happy #GoodFriday. Jesus is dead but at least someone's forest is getting restored. 4:06 hours of sleep. We will not discuss from when to when only how no sleep and tension sap energy. I did it. I decided to order a regular small chicken teriyaki pizza. We'll SEE I just ran out of time to go buy a slice.
