Want cat, but maybe still not yet. Meanwhile, 99% of Turkish Van Cat Owners Don't Know This

I am home. I promised myself I will get a cat soon.

I did not promise any specific breed even one with a great story.


6.4? hours of sleep!

All in one stretch.

Up in time to shower and braid hair but packing came after breakfast.

Now that I'm home, besides cat promises, so much else:

--Track down UGLY stuff in connection with other guests at the #NFB24 hotel

--Try to contain a proud member of the Still Didn't get the memo on email immoderation movement from another part of my life.

--FIguring how much of things making my head explode I really need to tend to.

I am glad I went and glad to be home.

RantWoman managed well over 5 hours of sleep in two spells with a break in the middle to pee, feed the cat, eat breakfast. RantWoman had the sense she could easily have slept longer except her schedule loomed. Loomed on Christmas Eve? Yup. Shopping. Santa will bestow dish towels for two people who WILL appreciate them. More woodwind esoterica to soothe and distract: What's a Basset Clarinet?

Holy Cow. Almost 9 hours of sleep. The extravagant luxury of going back to bed and not even trying to do anything after 5.9 hours of sleep. Going to bed at a reasonable hour because of not wanting to compute in the computer lab with no AC helped.  I decided I needed to get up and eat a real breakfast after a dream involving my certainty that I needed to take a shower in a tiny restroom near a big event of some kind and then enjoying a lot of food that I found tasty and it was not clear whether others realized it was available. I probably can go all kinds of places with that. Computer lab has AC. Room where digital equity team works does not. There is some kind of switching mystery that not even one of the very wise SHA HVAC experts can solve. Nice to see the computer lab space in use. And for exercise I will ride under desk bike to nowhere for awhile at an hour too late to be a good idea. Also I MUST scrub floor and wrangle refrigerator life forms.
