Here for the PURRING: THIS Is The Best Cat I've EVER Groomed

The whole point of listening / watching 14 minutes of cat grooming is the PURR.

Somewhere about 4 hours of sleep but only 1 hour in bed.

Toss and turn for an hour. Decide I am just TOO HUNGRY.

Get up, eat breakfast, and THEN fall asleep in chair.

Wake up in time to get the bus and enjoy holiday luncheon with Mom. I cannot say often enough how grateful I am that she is so on the ball and so safe. I can manage the Uber bills from the transit center. Today I was trying to scope out pedestrian routes. It's a little over a mile, but there are SO MANY stretches with no sidewalk. Maybe I will try to walk it on a day when there is not a heat warning.

Fun to see nephew and woman friend (She has an almost adult son.) They do offroading together. Fascinating as long as I do not go all climate crisis crank on the whole subject of offroading. Okay. It's a whole subculture.
 

I am never charmed by all the booms on the Fourth of July so have a blast, y'all but SAFELY.

RantWoman managed well over 5 hours of sleep in two spells with a break in the middle to pee, feed the cat, eat breakfast. Holy Cow. Almost 9 hours of sleep. The extravagant luxury of going back to bed and not even trying to do anything after 5.9 hours of sleep. Going to bed at a reasonable hour because of not wanting to compute in the computer lab with no AC helped.  I decided I needed to get up and eat a real breakfast after a dream involving my certainty that I needed to take a shower in a tiny restroom near a big event of some kind and then enjoying a lot of food that I found tasty and it was not clear whether others realized it was available. I probably can go all kinds of places with that. Computer lab has AC. Room where digital equity team works does not. There is some kind of switching mystery that not even one of the very wise SHA HVAC experts can solve. Nice to see the computer lab space in use. And for exercise I will ride under desk bike to nowhere for awhile at an hour too late to be a good idea. Also I MUST scrub floor and wrangle refrigerator life forms.
